BMI / BMR Calculator offers an easy to use application that has 2 functions:
First - the App calculates your Body Mass Index (BMI) which is a measure of body fat based on your height and weight. This applies to men and women aged between 18 and 65 years.
Secondly - the App calculates your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) which refers to the number of calories youd burn if you stayed in bed all day.
Simple. Fast. Easy.

Does not work

Works for me
I took off one star for making me X out of an ad before even seeing the screen. I appreciate that its free and supported by ads but that was just overkill. That said, I really liked that it factored in my age and that there is a decimal point so my 5 ft 3.5 inch height wasnt a problem. It does the job (and tells me how many calories I burn just by staying in bed). No problems. I like it. PS: It works fine on my iPhone 6 plus with IOS 8.1.

THREE reasons NOT to like this app, only 1/2 reason to like it.
NEGATIVES: 1- Inside, its all slides for inputting the numbers, which are annoying to use accurately. 2- On the second page above, the drawing of the human body has the stomach and liver placed much too low, closer to where the kidneys are! I suppose theyd put the kidneys in the thighs. I have no interest in an app with Picasso drawings of the human bodys organs. Frankly, it is more accurate for a cat! 3- There is no chart to show me what range my BMR falls in, which should be the whole purpose for the app! SOMEWHAT POSITIVE: 1- The icon is nice, except that it only mentions BMR. This app also calculates BMI, which really shouldnt be ignored on the icon. IN CONCLUSION: There is no shortage of BMR & BMI apps, and frankly, most of the others do a much superior job! With a little work, this app could be acceptable.

Does exactly what it claims.
This app does exactly what it claims, performing a couple of simple calculations and presenting the results in a palatable manner. I did not receive a full page ad upon opening the App as another review did, so perhaps the Apps creators are listening. The 1-star review by Lacemaker 427 is a perfect description . . . of a completely different App. I believe that App is "Ultimate BMR " by Joseph Campbell. At the time of this review it appeared just above this App when "BMR" was entered into the search box. In this App, there are neither sliders nor diagrams of cat anatomy and the icon says BMI, not BMR. Its sad that an App has to suffer a 1-star review meant for another so I encourage us all to be careful where we place our thumbs.
